  • 1. Prepare the Pastry Crust:
  • In a huge blending bowl, filter the flour and salt together
  • Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture.
  • Utilizing your fingertips or a cake shaper, rub the margarine into the flour until the blend looks like coarse scraps.
  • Gradually add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together.
  • Structure the batter into a ball, enclose it by saran wrap, and refrigerate for something like 30 minutes.
  • 2. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 3. Prepare the Filling:
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium intensity. Add hacked onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onions are delicate and clear, around 5 minutes. Mix in curry powder and cook for an extra 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Eliminate the skillet from intensity and let the combination cool somewhat.
  • 4. Prepare the Filling Base:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, mango chutney, lime juice, lime zest, and the sautéed onion mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until all ingredients are well combined. Set aside.
  • 5. Roll out the Pastry:
  • On a floured surface, roll out the chilled pastry dough to fit a 9-inch (23 cm) quiche or pie dish.
  • Carefully transfer the rolled-out pastry dough to the greased quiche dish, pressing it gently into the bottom and sides of the dish.
  • Trim any excess dough hanging over the edges.
  • 6. Prepare the Egg Mixture:
  • In a different bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until very much joined.
  • 7. Assemble the Quiche:
  • Spread the prepared chicken filling evenly over the bottom of the pastry crust.
  • Slowly pour the egg mixture over the filling, ensuring it fills the dish evenly.
  • 8. Bake the Quiche:
  • Place the quiche dish on a baking sheet to catch any spills.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
  • 9. Serve:
  • Once baked, remove the coronation quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves if desired.
  • Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
  • 10. Enjoy!
  • Your coronation quiche is now ready to be enjoyed. Serve it as a main dish for brunch, lunch, or as a savory treat any time of the day.
